Develop lists of children for intervention based on needs


Formulated lists of students who are in a high reading level. Deb will work with high kids beginning next week until Christmas.

Intervention Strategy


11:15-12:00 beginning in January, boys and girls will split up for reading interventions. Gender-based instruction will hopefully bring students up to proficiency in reading and writing levels.

Next Agenda


We discussed writing lessons and what students are working on. - Rosey's class is working on inferencing with the students. Three most important ideas in a chapter, then drawing a picture of it and making a caption. Megan is focusing on making predictions. Writing narratives instruction will occur until Thanksgiving. Personal narratives will begin after Thanksgiving (Dec. 1).

Meeting Evaluation


The meeting was productive! We have an agenda for writing lessons until January. We're going to use Level 1 - The Wolf's Chicken Stew or The Three Little Pigs, Level 2 - Swine Lake or Finding the Green Stone, and Level 3 - we're still deciding, for retelling a story in narrative writing. Go team!!
